Fashion Week Stockholm - Ida Sjöstedt, Nakkna & Dagmar - Hair by MIKAs Koivisto/Karlsson

Yesterday Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week started here in Stockholm with 32 designers showing their clothes for Autumn/Winter '11. MIKAs Koivisto/Karlsson was represented at 3 of the shows on the opening day.

Our Salon Manager, Jenny Karlsson, was in charge of the hair at Ida Sjöstedt and Dagmar's show - and our Guest Style Director, Tony Lundström, took care of the hair at Nakkna.

Both with assistance by staff from our salon (Cecilia Posti, Emil Wall, Emma Lindblom, Gisella Jansson and Pernilla Neuman).

Pär Engsheden for ELLE - Hair by Jenny Karlsson

In the latest number of ELLE there is an interview with the ELLE Style Award-winner, Pär Engsheden, famous for designing dresses to the Swedish Royal Family and not the least the wedding dress worn by Crown Princess, Victoria Bernadotte, last summer.

Teemu and Jenny - for Redken

Last week Teemu Koivisto and Jenny Karlsson went to Malmö as Redken Artists and held a show at the hair salon Larsson & Lange to give ideas and inspire their staff. Very nice evening with some very edgy and cool hair.

Next event with MIKAs Koivisto/Karlsson for Redkens behalf will take place on the 20th of November to celebrate Redkens 50th year.

Behind the Scenes - New Years Eve Hair Up

Behind the scenes from a photoshoot on Sunday, October 24th, where our Salon Manager Director, Jenny Karlsson was doing hair ups for a New Years Eve Special for a magazine. Our two assistants, Cissi and Gisella were helping out during the day.

Cecilia Posti is the name of one of our Trainees/Assistants at our salon. She started at our salon about 6 months ago - and from being a novice then up until now she has really improved quickly.
Every week she is practising cutting and styling under supervision of Jenny Karlsson, our Salon Manager Director, on people who wants to sit as a model.
